At Friends of Recovery, we talk about hope a lot. But what does hope actually look like? Our annual Night of H.O.P.E. is one of the many ways we get to see it firsthand!

We can’t thank Body of Christ Church Community enough for hosting the 2026 Night of H.O.P.E. This event brought our community together for an evening of worship, prayer, ministry updates, and, most importantly, personal testimonies from individuals who have graduated from our recovery program. Each story offered a glimpse into the ways Christ is working in lives, restoring relationships, and bringing lasting change.

Throughout the evening, we heard stories of people who once struggled to imagine a different future and are now living out a new one. Christine shared, “God was at the wayside for so many years, but He was there all along waiting for me.” Ed reminded us of the lasting impact of community, saying, “You leave the house but the house doesn’t leave you.” And Ryan reflected on his sobriety with a simple but powerful statement: “It flabbergasts me that I’m still sober today.”

These stories represent more than individual milestones. They reflect the work happening throughout our ministry as residents take steps toward recovery, graduates continue building lives rooted in hope, and our community comes alongside them in support. From the daily work of recovery to the lifelong journey of walking with Christ, each step forward is worth celebrating.

Night of H.O.P.E. reminded us that hope is more than a word. It is a life being changed, a community showing up, and the faithfulness of Christ at work.

We are grateful for every resident, graduate, volunteer, prayer partner, and supporter who makes this ministry possible. Thank you for being part of the stories still being written at Friends of Recovery NE Ohio.
